I'm quite proud of the fact that I have never knowingly stayed awake during any recording containing Mr Gilmours work

Behave, Pink Floyd were ground breakingly great
Not a keen fan of Gilmour as a person but as a muso, he is one of the best

Cheers TM, that was of course addressed at you. Wasn't aware of that. Great guitarist.

watched the Floyd appearance at Live 8 again this week and it's noticeable a few times that the friction still exists/ed. Waters trying to chat on the intro to 'Wish You Were Here' one of the more awkward moments :.)

I'm easing myself into the new album. I did buy the bells and whistles version because I'm a mug.
I do like Gilmour and have always been a fan of Phil Manzanara (remember those specs). The band 801 were short lived but great.
I assume he's heading to Holland?

I went on Wednesday. He had Graham NASH and David CROSBY as guests on vocals (obv).
My neighbour got the tickets - we were in Row 1 smack dab in the centre!

It's taken me several plays to start getting into the album it's a slow burner and In Any Tongue is probably the stand out track so far for me

Is that the instrumental one, Stoat?
I'm not 100% about the rest of it, to be honest.

No mate track 6
Home and done it's just begun His heart weighs more, more than it ever did before What has he done? God help my son Hey, stay a while, I'll stay up No sugar is enough to bring sweetness to his cup I know sorrow tastes the same on any tongue
How was I to feel it When a gun was in my hands And I'd waited for so long How was I to see straight In the dust and blinding sun Just a pair of boots on the ground
On the screen the young men die The children cry in the rubble of their lives What has he done? God help my son Hey, stay a while, I'll stay up The volume pumped right up but not enough to drown it out I hear "Mama" sounds the same in any tongue
How am I to see you When my faith stands in the way And the wailing is long done How am I to know you With a joystick in my hand When the call to arms has come

Very few tickets available for these shows on StubHub or GetMeIn!
I wonder if ILPDC has them all?
